Vicious Teknique (VT), a South Florida Hip Hop artist known for his innovative approach to conceptual Hip Hop, releases music independently via Conundrum Records. His journey began at age 12 with a rap about his sixth-grade baseball team, quickly evolving into songwriting and battle-rapping in Miami by age 16. While majoring in BioEngineering at the University of Florida (UF), VT honed his craft with the UF’s Hip Hop collective, refining his distinctive style, dubbed the ‘Fine Art of Hip Hop.’ During enrollment for his PhD in Ocean Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, he laid the groundwork for his artistic endeavors with releases like “Conor McGregor” and the Contemporary EP heading into the late 2010s.

VT’s breakthrough came with “Designer Murder” from the FEARLESS EP. Success followed with “So So,” elevating his following and garnering over 280K monthly listeners in late 2020, continuing momentum with nearly thirty conceptual single releases such as “Gamebred” over the next two years. With royalties from “Fine Art” being donated to his non-profit’s ‘Graffiti Mural Beautification Initiative,’ 2023 saw multiple Miami proclamations and accolades celebrating Hip Hop’s 50th anniversary. Continuing into 2024 with the successful hometown inspired anthem “Fake Luv” receiving over 120K streams on Spotify alone. Since receiving over seventy million streams, founding multiple record labels and the public art non-profit Fine Art of Hip Hop, Vicious Teknique has cemented his place as a modern pioneer of his culture.

VT’s latest album, SCAM, explores predatory industries, with each song covering a different fraudulent scheme that masquerades as a pillar of society. “Play” the album’s lead single, integrates murals, music, and interactive content, capturing listeners with its immersive multi-layered lyrics.
